Graphic designer, visual artist, and legendary guitarist / songwriter Bruce C. Allen passed away on December 7, 2009. Bruce’s friends, family, and bandmates from the critically acclaimed The Suburbs established a memorial scholarship fund that honors his memory and singular contributions to Minnesota’s art and music culture.
Funds are awarded to one recipient a year. Applicants to the Fund must be residents of the State of Minnesota. Scholarship monies are available only for academically accredited schools and for degree credits toward a diploma in art or music.
